Filtration

Berhord A&D offers microfiltration installations for the final treatment of water, wine or other alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.

The microfiltration of beverages is applied just before the bottling. The process is done by retaining the residual particles that are not trapped by prefiltration through a kieselguhr filter or plate-type filter. These systems use cartridges with 0.4 – 0.5 microns porosity. All the cartridges are sterilized using pure steam.

The system is assembled on a frame made out of stainless steel tubes, mounted on adjustable legs and can consist of the following elements:

  • The body / filter-holder, intended for housing membrane or depth cartridges. The number of bodies is chosen by the customer, depending on the number of filtration levels, as each body must contain cartridges of identical porosity.
  • Support feet for the body.
  • Pressure gauges in sanitary design.
  • Purge system.
  • Manual valve for feeding, removal or discharge of product.
  • Bypass system for controlling the product’s degree of purification.
  • A sampler.
  • Pumping equipment.
  • Control cabinet for the product pump.
  • I / O with a Clamp, DIN or hose adapter connection.

Berhord A&D is always on the side of the automation. In the case of the filtering installations, we can offer a complete automation of the filtering process, by displaying an image of the working line indicating the active sites, on your computer’s monitor.

Automatic systems are rational, if the filtration system also includes a system of steaming and nitrogen supply.
